We headed straight to Jenny Lake. There is a 13 mile hike around Jenny Lake and up and down the Tetons that is the most beautiful I have ever done. I was concerned about James doing such a long and difficult hike, but I wore out way before he did. Most of the time he was running and skipping through the trails.
The next day, we went whitewater rafting down the Snake River. This may have been both of our favorite part of the trip. We had a great and very knowledgeable guide and caught a ton of great Class 3 - 4 rapids and saw a bunch of bald eagles and beautiful scenery. We were not able to take Cameras on the trip, but will remember the look on James face forever. Not sure he has ever had a better 2 hours.
We got a great Burger joint recommendation from our raft guide. "The Bird" in Jackson Hole ground their own meat and may be the best burger I have ever had and a great view from the back deck.
After Burgers, we headed back into Grand Teton National Park and went exploring around Jenny Lake and Colter Bay before we had to go back to camp to get ready to head back to Houston the next day.
It was truly sad to call an end to our trip, but we had done about as much as a Father and Son could do in a week in Wyoming and it was time to come home to the rest of our Family.
