Girl's Trip to Austin

This summer Rosemary and I planned a girl's trip with Natalie and Abigail to Austin.  Our original thinking was we could take them to the American Girl Doll store and to stay at a hotel to beat the summer heat.  Turns out Austin does not have an American Girl Doll store, and well, life happened and it got rescheduled--twice.  Natalie and I were suppose to go by ourselves, but Harvey hit.  So after three attempts, we finally got away for a night.  Just us girls.

We didn't do anything fancy, but this precious girl loved every minute of our time together!! Lunch at Whole Foods flagship store, book store to pick out new Halloween books, ice cream with sweet friends (Amanda and Mary Alice White), a trip to Austin's best toy store (she picked out an "American Girl Doll"--knock off, but don't tell Natalie) and In-and-Out burgers to go so we could watch the Ole Miss/Alabama game in our hotel room.

introducing Natalie to the importance of good car snacks!

Fun at the toy store.

This is a special girl, and I can't wait for our next trip.
