Old Pictures

In looking through mom's pictures for the President's Day program, I stumbled upon these old ones.  Be still my heart.

Life Here Lately

Just some random pictures of life lately....

Picture on "National Love Your Pet Day"--to say these three love this pet is a huge understatement

See what I mean....

If Luke is playing in the front yard when I pull up, he sprints to meet me so that he can "drive" around our cul de sac.  He loves it, and I love this smile

 Things from school

Having after school snack with Natalie while waiting for piano lessons (more about this to come in the next post or two)

Waiting in mom's classroom

Natalie requested this picture one morning: notice the amount of key chains on her bag.  This bag is stuffed to capacity, and I am sure absolutely zero of its contents are school related.

James has been shooting basketball in our driveway non-stop.  This has been my view out of the kitchen window for the past week

James's First Points of the Season

The Blazers had their first game of the playoffs last night, and James got his first baskets of the season!!  He has been playing defense/rebounder for most of the season, and I am so proud of him for being a team player and not getting frustrated for not scoring points.  Last night, he scored two baskets, and I was thrilled!! Brad and I switched off game duty, and I was so happy to have been at this game!

This kid LOVES basketball, and I love him.

Happy Valentine's Day

Brad and I aren't usually big on Valentine's Day, but we all had such a fun day this year.  The kids all had to make boxes for their school parties, and while most moms make these elaborated contraptions, all three of the Nixes made their own boxes.  I loved them--misplaced tape, uneven cuts and all.

At first Luke didn't want anything to do with making a box (surprise, surprise), so even an all orange Paw Patrol box was considered a success.

Always the easiest to please, Natalie was happy with colored paper (left over from last year) and a few drawings.

James had Brad print out pictures of his favorite sports teams/players, and the Alabama/Astros/Rockets/Packers box was perfect for this boy!

I really, really loved these!

I didn't make it to any of the class parties, but a fellow mom/teacher sent me these cute ones of Luke along with their conversation: "Luke, let me take your pictures." "I don't like pictures." "Too bad, I already took it." "Delete it please"

Sweet, Sweet class: (Tess, Ethan, Luke, Thomas, Harper and Molly)

Instead of a fancy dinner out with Brad, we enjoyed Whataburger on our way to Ash Wednesday service  Perfect.

And while I did receive a sweet card and flowers from Brad, these precious Valentine's are hard to beat.

What a special day celebrating all of the love in our family!  And throw back picture for good time's sake.
