Happy 4th of July!!

In the past we have usually spent the 4th of July with Mrs. Georgia and Gary, but this year was just as special: Allison, Caroline and Mom came to Houston for the weekend!  We packed a lot in a short amount of time--swimming, puzzles, fireworks, a parade and pool party and, of course, a lot of eating.

Our neighborhood does a parade, and while it is just about the most heart warming thing you've ever seen, it is always blazing hot.

A block or two is usually all that we are good for, so good thing a pool party follows.  Look at these watermelon babies!

And we had a blast shooting fireworks--aka sparklers, morning glories and poppers.  (sidetone: I took a lot of great firework pictures with my big camera.  In fact, we shot them in front of our neighbor Nancy's house because she had a better back drop with the American flag.  Sadly, my camera card has somehow been erased.  I'm pretty devastated).

We enjoyed eating El Tiempo, watching the 4th of July concerts--we were pretty disappointed--and Allison and I dominated a puzzle.

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July!

Update: I found the pictures from my big camera! Turns out, I uploaded them to my computer :)  I know these are all similar, but I just love them.  Again, we shot fireworks in front of our neighbor's, Nancy, house because her American flag isn't faded like ours is.
