Christmas, Part One

What a fun Christmas we had!  For the first time, we saw all three families during the break, and we had a great time.

Sidenote: this was my first Christmas as a teacher, and I thoroughly enjoyed all 2 1/2 weeks off from work!!

Reet Reet, Papi, Allison, Jacob and Caroline came to Houston before Christmas, and we had a blast!

We did a lot of baking and cooking:

Making treats for our neighbors

Decorating gingerbread cookies with Caroline

Of course, James made a George Springer (Astros player) gingerbread man

And the girls made Ariel, The Little Mermaid

Second round of cookie decorating: cookies for Santa

Second Baptist has an incredibly large Christmas train display, and while James was at basketball camp, the three little kiddos loved looking at the trains.  It was somewhat of a madhouse, but we had a lot of fun.

We squeezed in birthday shopping (Natalie) and purse shopping (Reet Reet) at the Galleria

We had a lot of fun playing games, and Allison's Christmas gifts were a hit!  Whaddya Say is hysterical: you place these space separators in your mouth and try and say certain phrases.

The classic: Rock 'Em, Sock 'Em

Fun walks with Reet Reet, pretending to be in a band.

Opening presents.

The girls received stick on earrings, and they LOVED them!

National Lampoon mugs with eggnog--it's a close call as to which one of these love eggnog the most.

We loved having everyone in Houston before Christmas!
