This year was very special--James and Natalie were back at school together, and everyone had AMAZING teachers!!

| my usual drop-off scene |
James's teacher, Mrs. Bradley, will always have a soft spot in my heart. She was so warm, and I think James benefitted greatly from her love. James has always succeeded at school, but his growth this year-particularly in reading-is astounding. The kid reads and reads and reads, and it warms my heart. He became more passionate about learning in general, but his favorite part of school is still recess. None of James's "close friends" were in his class, but this allowed him to build new, stronger friendships. We loved first grade!
Natalie's first year at SBS was magical! She had sweet, sweet friends in her class--Kate and Ella in particular, and of course John. Mrs. Partridge was the perfect teacher for Natalie: as I told Mrs. Partridge, she speaks Natalie's language and is "her people". Natalie loved every day of school.
The last week of school at SBS is free dress, so one day we all showed our school spirit by wearing newly purchased Ole Miss gear. Thankfully Brad goes to work before the kids get up and wasn't here to protest.
Misc--Happy crew
Three of James's friends (James Thomas Garrett, James Clarke and Harrison Knappe) had a joint birthday party, and Luke had a big time. Below are Kendall and Kate (twin sisters of Caleb) and Henry (James Thomas's brother). We are all hoping for an arranged marriage situation.
Somewhere in the middle of all of the chaos was a great Mother's Day! I am so blessed to be loved by these three people and their dad!
