It's Good to be Natalie These Days

What a weekend for the sweetest girl: a very belated birthday celebration, daddy/daughter dance and the 100th day of school.

Because my eye surgery was two days before Natalie's birthday, we waited to celebrate her special day.  Truth be told: Brad and I thought she might forget about her party after Christmas and we would be off the hook.  Fat chance.

She invited her classmates and friends to a showing of Peter Rabbit and for yogurt.  Sometimes I worry that her birthday gets jumbled with Christmas, so this was a great way to celebrate Natalie.  It was such a fun morning!! (Luke tagged along with the girls while James and Brad were at a basketball game)

Conga Line!
Sunday was Second Baptist's Daddy/Daughter Dance, and these two were very, very excited! Earlier in the day, Natalie asked me if I ever went to a daddy/daughter dance, and I am so sad that these weren't around when I was younger.  It was such a special time for Brad and Natalie.  We were a little late in ordering a corsage, so a dozen tulips had to do!

Official photo from the dance: notice Natalie is carrying a tulip from her bouquet

I love these two people so very much.

Valentine's Day 2015

Following the dance, Brad took Natalie to our favorite restaurant (Liberty Kitchen) for a milkshake.

To cap off a fabulous weekend, Monday was the 100th day of school.  Each year the kindergarteners dress up as 100 year olds--how cute is this little old lady!

Random pictures: On a walk with Bear: Luke got off his bike and made me stop walking Bear so he could give him a hug.  He LOVES this dog.

Luke's super creative teacher, Ms. Jocelyn, makes a banner for each holiday.  The cutest cupids.
