Nix: Party of 5: Swim Team

This summer has been incredibly busy (a word I despise), and as a result, I have become very far behind on the blog. These next few posts may be rushed with very little content---other than pictures, of course. But we have enjoyed every rushed, hurried second of summer.

First catch up post: swim team.

Ever since James started swim team, I have become obsessed with the sport. He works so incredibly hard, and his determination and persistence amaze me. I mean, swim practice every day is hard work!! James did great this year---his relay team won first place at every meet, and while his individual time did get slower :) he placed in both the free style and backstroke at the finals!! (the final meet includes all of the teams in this area, which is pretty impressive) Briargrove Park won first place as a team!

I have to add that this season was much more enjoyable from a parent point of view. Getting out of the car at the first meet I had a flashback to last year: Luke was still 1 and Natalie was into everything. I honestly don't know how we survived last summer. At least there is one benefit of kids getting older and more independent.
